Speed and Agility Camp
Creative summer is pleased to partner with Holton’s very own Assistant Track and Field Coaches and former Team USA members, Tameka and Takecia Jameson, to offer our first-ever Speed and Agility Camp. This fun, skill-building program covers the fundamentals of track and field, and is suitable for beginners as well as campers with some experience.
But it’s not all speed; there’s also agility – campers will also learn to build a strong body and mind through activities such as yoga and weight training in an educational, athletic, and inspirational environment.
This clinic is more than just a fun space for kids to be - It is a lifestyle!
Typical Daily Schedule
Location: Holton- Arms Track Facility
Hours: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Arrive between 8:45 and 9:00am
9:00: Group Huddle (Introductions)
9:45-10:15: Block 1 - Sport Specific (Sport will change weekly)
10:15-10:20: Water Break
10:20-10:40: Game (Incorporating Agility, Fine Motor Skills, and Movement)
10:45-11:15: Block 2 - Sport Specific (This will change weekly)
11:15-11:20: Water Break
11:20-11:40: Game (Incorporating Agility, Fine Motor Skills, and Movement)
11:45-12PM: Group Huddle - Closing Remarks for Campers
If we finish up with group huddle early, they will have free play to chose between a sport related activity until parent-pick-up
Creative Summer will be offering One-Week, half-day Speed and Agility Camps for campers in grades 1 to 8
- June 28 - July 2: Grades 5 to 8
- July 6 - 9 (No Camp on July 5): Grades 1-4
- July 12 - 16: Grades 5-8
- July 19 - 23: Grades 1-4
Additional Sessions may be added based on interest.
List of items to bring to practice:
- Water/ diluted drink
- Fresh pair of training shoes (no open toed shoes)
- Yoga mat or towel
- Healthy snack
- Sunscreen (as needed) and hat if necessary
- Extra clothing (on rainy days and if camper sweats)
